I grew up In Santa Monica, and have lived in England, the Bay Area, and the Midwest, and back to Santa Monica.
I love it here as it reminds me of LA as it was about thirty years ago. People are polite and laid back, the weather is lovely—not too hot, and I feel safe here. I am very grateful to live here, and I hope that it stays like this for a long time.
